Hardy Classic Tour

Transport of Yesteryear’s Annual Hardy Country Classic Tour
Run through the splendid Dorset countryside. The event is for all makes and types of motor vehicle. The public love to see our old taxis, so the Tour is recognised as an LVTA South West area event and club members are warmly invited to take part. Signing on is from 8.30am at Higher Bockhampton, near Dorchester and the 65-mile route takes in some of the most picturesque villages in Thomas Hardy’s Wessex. The lunch stop is Lulworth Castle and the tour finishes in Weymouth at Bowleaze Cove, on the lawns fronting the Iconic Riviera Hotel, where all vehicles remain on static display until approximately 4pm. The minimum entry fee is only £5.00 but additional donations will be gratefully accepted and you can help further by buying some draw tickets for the Chairman’s Challenge Raffle. All monies raised from the event each year go to The Weldmar Hospice in Dorchester. Entry forms are available from the Transport of Yesteryear’s website, www.transportofyesteryear.com.
