The Goodwood Revival
September 8 - September 10Free
The Goodwood Revival is a trip to a whole different time period. It’s one big party, gathered around an exciting three-day race programme for cars built before 1966, the year when racing finished at the circuit. Almost every one of the visitors dresses in vintage clothes of any era from the 1920s to the 1960s.
Along with other vehicles from other car clubs, you and your cab will be tasked with the conveyance of guests to and from the hotels and racing circuit, In period dress you would fit in with the era of your taxi enjoying the nostalgia of the event. A working weekend with your taxi cab like you’ve never done before. Bed, breakfast, lunch and fuel for the event is provided by the Revival organisers, with only your evening meals to pay for whilst socialising with your fellow club members and drivers.
Just like the cars that race and are exhibited around the track, your cab will need to be of 1966 vintage or earlier. It’s a long, tiring weekend. You will also need to be pre-entered for the event. There will be a deadline for entries, so if you are an LVTA member and wish to be apart of our contingent, please contact our organiser Doug Cheshire ASAP.
