The Goodwood Revival
September 11 - September 13Free
At present, no plans to cancel this event have been announced by the Goodwood Estate
The Goodwood Revival is a trip to a whole different time period. It’s one big party, gathered around an exciting three-day race programme for cars built before 1966, the year when racing finished at the circuit. Almost every one of the visitors dresses in vintage clothes of any era from the 1920s to the 1960s.
Along with other car clubs, the LVTA supplies vehicles to provide a taxi service for guests between the circuit and the hotel, though in the case of the LVTA, the vehicles are real, purpose-built taxis.
Just like the cars that race and are exhibited around the track, your cab will need to be of 1966 vintage or earlier. It’s a long, tiring weekend. You will also need to be approved as a driver and be pre-entered. The application process has now started, with a deadline of March 27.
If you are an LVTA member and would like to take part in the event with other club members, please contact organiser Doug Cheshire.
