Wheels of Yesteryear

We cordially invite you to join us for our Road Run from the National Mining Museum Scotland in Newtongrange (EH22 4QN) to Lennoxlove House near Haddington (EH41 4NZ) where vehicles will be on display by kind permission of His Grace the Duke of Hamilton.
The route details will be given out on the day, with different country routes for light vehicles and motor cycles, and another route more suited to the commercials. Cycles start from a site within the Lennoxlove estate.
Bacon rolls, tea, coffee, and toasties etc. will be available from the National Mining Museum café at the run start. The late morning rest stop will be at Prestongrange Industrial Museum (EH32 9RX) where coffee/tea and snacks etc willalso be on sale. Permanent toilet facilities including disabled access toilets, are located at all venues. Judging is done at Lennoxlove House and will take into account that vehicles have been driven on the run, with no marks deducted for this.
Please arrive at the National Mining Museum Scotland to register by 9:45am as the run will be starting from 10:30 am. If you need space for unloading a large vehicle, it would be useful for us to know in advance to arrange a suitable area. Fuel is available at Tesco (EH22 3PP) 2 miles north, and Shell (EH23 4LZ) 1/2 mile to the South, both on the A7.
Please remember that we are organising this event at our own expense as we will not be able to charge the public for viewing, and we are dependent on the goodwill of these venues to be able to hold our run. Please do not contact the National Mining Museum Scotland or Lennoxlove House directly about this event as they will not have full details.
IMPORTANT: We have a cap on entry numbers and regrettably may need to decline some entries as the number of vehicles is limited by the capacity of the venues. Please only register for this run if you intend to turn up. We appreciate that circumstances can change but as long as you let us know in advance that you are no longer able to come this is not a problem.
